LOS ANGELES >> A former boys basketball coach famous in San Gabriel Valley youth leagues was sentenced to two years in state prison Wednesday for sexually abusing one of his teenage players in 2004.
Tony Wong, 62, of San Gabriel, pleaded no contest to three counts of lewd acts upon a child. Wong was the longtime coach at the Alpine Recreation Center in Chinatown.
