MONROVIA >> A man ran from an officer during a traffic stop, threw away a bag containing a loaded gun and escaped capture Monday.
The incident started just after 9 a.m. on Myrtle and Pomona avenues.
Monrovia Police Sgt. Glen Coleman said an officer pulled over a car for a traffic violation.
