It is a heart-wrenching time for the family of Lesley Zerebny, one of two Palm Springs officers shot and killed Saturday, Oct. 8, while responding to a domestic disturbance call in that city.
"This is like the textbook description of senseless," said her father, David Kling, a retired 30-year veteran of the California Highway Patrol who lives south of Hemet.
