Authorities released the name of the suspect who carjacked a South Pasadena police officer then got killed in a crash on a freeway transition road in Los Angeles.
Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office, said Elmer George Perez, 45, of La Mirada died of multiple traumatic injuries.
