PASADENA - A man who pretended to have a gun tried to rob a gas station Sunday, but fled after employees were unable to open the cash register.
He stole a cell phone from one of the employees then later was caught by police.
The robbery happened at the Mobil station at 400 N. Fair Oaks Ave.
