DIAMOND BAR >> A 38-year-old man was convicted Monday of fatally shooting a cashier during a 1994 botched robbery at a Diamond Bar gas station.
Deputy District Attorney Ross Alari said the robbers fled empty-handed but may have hit a gas station in West Covina next. The killing of 42-year-old Mahfouz Ghabour of Anaheim was a cold case for two decades.
